Here are 911 Calls for Service responded to by the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) from June 29 – July 5, 2026:
- Water Leak (Auburn): On Monday, June 29th, VRFA firefighters responded to Legacy Plaza Senior Living for reports of water leaking through the ceiling of an apartment. Firefighters located water leaking from multiple sprinkler fixtures and traced the source to an apartment above where an occupant had accidentally left the kitchen sink running after becoming dizzy and lying down. Crews shut off the water and helped mitigate damage in three affected units. Maintenance was notified and no residents were displaced.
- Aid Call (Auburn): On Tuesday, June 30th, VRFA firefighters responded to a juvenile patient who sustained injuries in a fall. The patient had jumped from the top bunk of a bunk bed, resulting in an apparent forearm fracture. Firefighters treated the patient on scene before they were transported by private ambulance to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further care.
- Wires Down (Pacific): On Wednesday, July 1st, VRFA firefighters responded to reports of a truck that had pulled down power lines. Firefighters arrived to find a pickup truck and trailer with telescoping lights that had brought down power lines across Valentine Avenue SE. The driver was uninjured. Crews assisted Pacific Police with traffic control until Puget Sound Energy arrived, then helped remove the disconnected power lines from the roadway and assisted the vehicle owner in lowering the telescoping light on the trailer.
- Overdose (Auburn): On Thursday, July 2nd, VRFA firefighters responded to reports of CPR in progress involving an adult patient. Firefighters arrived to find the patient unconscious with a strong pulse and showing signs of a drug overdose. Narcan was administered, and the patient regained consciousness before being transported by private ambulance to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further care.
- Brush Fire (Auburn): On Friday, July 3rd, VRFA firefighters responded to a smoke investigation near Stuck River Drive. Firefighters located a brush fire approximately 10 feet by 30 feet in a wooded area. Crews used wildland firefighting techniques to quickly extinguish the fire with assistance from another engine company.
- Shooting (Auburn): On Saturday, July 4th, VRFA firefighters responded to reports of a shooting at the Muckleshoot fireworks stands. Before firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics arrived, Auburn Police had applied a tourniquet to an adult patient with multiple gunshot wounds to the lower body. Firefighters and paramedics assessed and treated the patient on scene before the patient was transported by paramedics to Harborview Medical Center for further care.
- Boat Fire (Lake Tapps): On Sunday, July 5th, VRFA firefighters responded on a mutual aid request with East Pierce Fire & Rescue for reports of a boat fire. Firefighters arrived to find two boats fully involved in fire. Crews deployed hose lines and quickly extinguished both fires.
