Auburn Police detectives make arrest in online child exploitation case

Auburn Police arrested an adult male Tuesday, July 28 in connection with an ongoing Internet Crimes Against Children investigation, according to the Auburn Police Department.

The arrest took place the morning of July 28 after an investigation by Major Crimes detectives with the department, police said.

Police said that detectives took the suspect into custody and executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence without incident.

The suspect was booked into jail on charges of dealing in depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct in the first degree and possession of depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct in the first degree, police said.

No additional information has been released at this stage to protect the integrity of the case and ongoing investigative efforts.

Detectives are continuing to investigate, and additional charges may be considered as the case progresses, according to police.
