Here are 911 Calls for Service responded to by the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) from Sept. 14-20, 2026:
- Aid Call (Auburn): On Monday, September 14th at 5:13 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult patient experiencing a mental health crisis. The patient recognized the need for additional support and requested assistance. Firefighters evaluated and treated the patient on scene before the patient was transported to MultiCare Covington Medical Center for further care.
- Aid Call (Auburn): On Tuesday, September 15th at 11:00 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult patient experiencing dizziness who was also seeking support for substance use. Firefighters evaluated the patient and requested the VRFA’s Medication for Opioid Use Disorder team to provide additional assistance. The MOUD team responded and remained on scene with the patient to connect them with appropriate support and resources.
- Industrial Accident (Pacific): On Wednesday, September 16th at 1:03 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult patient who had been trapped beneath several slabs of quartz countertop. Crews arrived to find that coworkers had freed the patient from beneath approximately 800 pounds of stone. Firefighters evaluated and treated the patient for injuries to both legs before the patient was transported by private ambulance to Valley Medical Center for further care.
- Stabbing (Auburn): On Thursday, September 17th at 8:39 p.m., VRFA firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics responded to reports of a stabbing. Crews treated and stabilized an adult patient with a serious arm injury. The patient was transported by private ambulance to Harborview Medical Center for further care.
- Aid Call (Auburn): On Friday, September 18th at 5:29 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an infant experiencing a febrile seizure. The family had been traveling to the emergency room when they flagged down a police officer for assistance. Firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics evaluated and treated the patient before the patient was transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further care.
- Car vs. E-Bike (Auburn): On Saturday, September 19th at 2:12 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a collision involving an electric dirt bike and a vehicle. Crews arrived to find a juvenile patient with multiple injuries sitting along the side of the road. Firefighters evaluated and treated the patient on scene before the patient was transported by private ambulance to Valley Medical Center for further care.
- Outdoor Fire (Pacific): On Saturday, September 19th at 2:42 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to reports of bushes on fire. Crews arrived to find approximately 10 arborvitae trees, each about 16 feet tall, fully involved in fire. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and prevented further spread. The fire was determined to have started accidentally while the homeowner was using a weed burner near the base of the trees.
- River Rescue (Auburn): On Sunday, September 20th at 7:55 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to reports of an adult stranded on a sandbar along the Stuck River. Crews conducted an extensive search and located the individual nearly one mile beyond the accessible portion of the trail. Firefighters safely assisted the individual off the sandbar and back down the trail. No injuries were reported. VRFA was assisted by South King Fire & Rescue, Auburn Police Department, Enumclaw Fire, Renton Regional Fire Authority, King County Medic One, and Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority.
- Natural Gas Leak (Algona): On Sunday, September 20th at 6:43 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a hotel for carbon monoxide alarm activation. Crews arrived and detected a significant odor of natural gas in the lobby. Firefighters shut off the gas supply, evacuated the building, established a safe area, and requested additional resources. Puget Sound Energy personnel located and repaired the source of the leak. Approximately 80 occupants were displaced for two hours before the incident was safely resolved.
