POLICE BLOTTER: Firearm assault, DUI cases, sex offense and thefts among recent reports

The following is the Auburn Police blotter and references criminal acts that may upset some readers.

From the Auburn Police Department’s Public Information Log for Aug. 5-9, 2026:

  • Multiple Felonies: One of the most serious recent cases was reported at 11:46 p.m. Aug. 9 in the 1500 block of 30th Street SE, where police said a male was arrested for multiple felonies in an assault with a firearm case. The log also listed harassment and a weapons offense as other offenses.
  • Sex Offense: Police also reported a sex offense on Aug. 8 in northeast Auburn. According to the log, a sexual assault was reported in the 900 block of 14th Street NE, with residential burglary listed as an additional offense.
  • DUIs: Recent DUI investigations included a case reported at 10:39 p.m. Aug. 9 in the 1200 block of G Street SE, a DUI arrest reported Aug. 7 near the 200 block of Cross Street SE, and another DUI entry in the Aug. 7 log for the 3600 block of Auburn Way N.
  • Death Investigations: Auburn police reported several death investigations during the same period, including cases in the 2700 block of Alpine Drive SE, the 6700 block of Montevista Drive SE, the 6600 block of South 298th Place and the 3200 block of Scenic Drive SE.
  • Other Reports included a recovered stolen vehicle in the 32300 block of 49th Avenue S on Aug. 5, a stolen vehicle report in the 2900 block of O Street SE on Aug. 7, and multiple theft reports along Auburn Way N and Auburn Way S.
  • Warrant Arrests: Police logs also listed several warrant arrests, including arrests in the 3400 block of 21st Street SE, the 1500 block of West Main Street, the 4500 block of I Street NE, the 1700 block of Auburn Way S and the 220 block of 21st Place SE.

Auburn police also reported incidents involving order violations, controlled substances, trespassing, harassment, vandalism, vehicle impounds, traffic offenses and people in distress.

The logs included an agency assist in Kent on Aug. 5, when Auburn SWAT officers responded to an in-progress warrant service in the 13900 block of Southeast 253rd Place, according to the Auburn Police Department.

  • Sunday, Aug. 9: A vehicle was towed in the 4500 block of I Street NE. A male was arrested in the 3000 block of R Street SE. A female was detained under the involuntary treatment act in the 200 block of 37th Street SE. A theft was reported in the 100 block of Second Street SE. A dead body was investigated in the 2700 block of Alpine Drive SE. A DUI was investigated in the 1200 block of G Street SE. A male was arrested for multiple felonies in the 1500 block of 30th Street SE.
  • Saturday, Aug. 8: A woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant in the 1500 block of West Main Street. Two people were arrested on warrants in the 600 block of I Place NE. A sexual assault was reported in northeast Auburn. A male was arrested for assault and vandalism in the 3000 block of Scenic Drive SE. A female was arrested for drug loitering in the 1400 block of D Street NE. A male was arrested for assault at the hospital on North Division Street.
  • Friday, Aug. 7: A vehicle was reported stolen in the 2900 block of O Street SE. A male was arrested for indecent exposure and criminal trespass in the 300 block of South Division Street. A domestic violence order violation was reported in the 2700 block of I Street NE. Three males were arrested in the 1700 block of Auburn Way N. A female was arrested for DUI near the 200 block of Cross Street SE. A weapons offense arrest was reported in the 31200 block of 124th Avenue SE.
  • Thursday, Aug. 6: Police investigated deaths in the 6700 block of Montevista Drive SE and the 6600 block of South 298th Place. A female was arrested for assault in Auburn. A male was arrested for an order violation in the 5900 block of Terrace View Lane SE. A male was arrested for harassment in the 3600 block of I Street NE. A male was arrested for DUI near the 200 block of 49th Street NE. Online reports included theft from motor vehicles, fraud and lost or found property.
  • Wednesday, Aug. 5: Police recovered a stolen vehicle in the 32300 block of 49th Avenue S. A death was investigated in the 3200 block of Scenic Drive SE. Several theft arrests were reported in the 800 block of Auburn Way N. Auburn SWAT assisted with a warrant service in Kent. A domestic assault was reported in north Auburn. Police also reported controlled substance, order violation, trespass and warrant arrest cases.
