Auburn Police are investigating an injury shooting that left a 17-year-old male wounded Thursday night, May 21 aboard a Metro bus traveling through Auburn.
At approximately 9:30 p.m., patrol officers responded to reports of a shooting near 29th Street SE and M Street SE (map below), according to the Auburn Police Department.
Early investigation indicates the shooting occurred on a Metro bus traveling through the area. Officers located the teenage victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Police said the teen was in stable condition and speaking with officers before being transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
A K9 track was underway Thursday night in the surrounding area as officers searched for the suspect, police said.
Auburn Police detectives responded to the scene and the investigation remained active late Thursday night.
Police did not release information about a possible suspect or what may have led to the shooting.
