An adult woman was found dead after a shooting at a residence in Auburn on Friday, March 13, according to the Auburn Police Department.
Police said officers responded around Noon to reports of a shooting in the 30300 block of 125th Court SE (map below).
When deputies arrived, they located an adult female with at least one gunshot wound.
Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
A male suspect has been taken into custody, police said. Investigators do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public.
Detectives remained at the scene Friday afternoon as the investigation continued.
According to Auburn Police, early information indicates the incident may be related to a domestic violence situation.
Officials said the case remains an active investigation and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
