Mountain View Fire & Rescue, Puget Sound Fire, Enumclaw Fire Department, Valley Regional Fire Authority, South King Fire and Rescue and King County Medic One responded to a river rescue on Saturday, July 18 at the Green River Gorge, where the patient died at the scene, according to Puget Sound Fire.
Firefighters and paramedics provided lifesaving treatment, but sadly the victim died at the scene, the agency said.
Rescue crews used multiple rope systems to move the victim from the riverbank up a steep slope to the parking lot.
