Two people were injured late Friday night, April 17 in a one-vehicle rollover crash at Military Road South and South 352nd Street near Auburn (map below), according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).
The crash happened at 11:43 p.m. on April 17, and the roadway was blocked for 4 hours and 42 minutes.
The State Patrol said the vehicle was a black 2018 BMW X5 traveling southbound on Military Road South when it left the lane, went onto the shoulder and into a ditch, then struck a light pole and crossed the intersection at South 352nd Street. The vehicle then continued southbound, hit a large rock and a fence, and rolled before coming to rest on its side across both the southbound and northbound lanes.
Both occupants were injured and transported to Harborview Medical Center, according to the State Patrol.
Investigators said the cause of the crash remains under investigation. The report lists drugs or alcohol involvement as unknown.
The State Patrol report said neither occupant was wearing a seat belt. The BMW was listed as totaled.
