Here are 911 Calls for Service responded to by the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) from Mar. 24–Mar. 30, 2025:
- CPR: (Auburn) On Monday, March 24th, VRFA firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics responded to a cardiac arrest at a local dialysis center. Staff had defibrillated the patient three times before firefighters arrived. Firefighters and medics worked together to stabilize the patient before transporting them to St. Francis Medical Center.
- Aid Call: (Pacific) On Tuesday, March 25th at 10:22 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an unconscious adult male. Firefighters began CPR, and King County Medic One paramedics provided advanced care. The patient regained a pulse and was transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center by KC Medic One.
- Automatic Fire Alarm: (Auburn) On Wednesday, March 26th at 12:49 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a smoke detector activation at a small two-story home. The homeowner, outside doing yard work, was unaware of the alarm. Firefighters entered with the homeowner and found light smoke throughout the house from burnt food on the stove. They assisted with smoke removal and resetting the alarm system.
- Hazardous Materials Response: (Algona) On Thursday, March 27th at 11:18 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to reports of an unknown white powder inside a business. One employee had already gone to a local hospital with respiratory symptoms before firefighters arrived. Multiple employees were exposed and were isolated as a precaution. A Zone 3 HazMat response was requested, bringing in technicians from South King Fire & Rescue, Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority, and Renton Regional Fire Authority. After investigation, the substance was identified as an illicit drug substance. The scene was turned over to Algona PD for further investigation.
- Motor Vehicle Collision: (Auburn) On Friday, March 28th at 3:53 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a multi-vehicle collision with injuries. Firefighters evaluated and treated one patient for a possible chest injury before transporting them to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center by aid car for further care.
- Aid Call: (Auburn) On Saturday, March 29th at 2:00 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult male found unconscious by a family member. The family member and a friend were performing CPR with guidance from a 911 dispatcher. Firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics took over resuscitation efforts, but unfortunately, they were not successful. The cause of death has not been determined.
- Service Call: (Lea Hill) On Sunday, March 30th at 11:17 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a report of a 3-year-old child who had locked his mother out of their apartment. Firefighters used a ground ladder to access an unlocked second-story window, entered the unit, and unlocked the front door.
