Auburn Police arrested four people — including three juvenile males and one adult female — on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, following an armed robbery at the Haggen Grocery Store and a high-risk vehicle stop that uncovered multiple modified firearms.
Officers responded around 4 p.m. after a store employee reported being threatened with a gun during a shoplifting incident.
The suspects fled in a blue Audi A4, which was tracked using city traffic cameras.
Police located the vehicle near Lakeland Hills Way SE and used a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver to bring it to a stop.
All occupants were arrested without injury.
Authorities later learned a child was also in the car; the child was safely released to a family member.
One juvenile was carrying three handguns — one of them stolen — all modified with switches to make them fully automatic and equipped with extended magazines.
All four suspects were booked on probable cause for first-degree robbery. Additional charges include unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a stolen firearm. The juveniles were transported to Remann Hall Juvenile Detention Center; the adult was booked into the Pierce County Jail.
“This case is currently under review by Auburn Police Department detectives,” the department said. “Excellent teamwork and a job well done by all of those involved.”
