Here are 911 Calls for Service responded to by the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) from May 25 – 31, 2026:
- Animal Bite (Pacific): On Monday, May 25th at 7:32 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult male who had been bitten by a raccoon he had captured in a live trap. Firefighters found the patient had already cleaned the wound and was primarily seeking assistance with removal of the animal. Crews attempted to contact Animal Control without success and then coordinated with Pacific Police Department, who agreed to assist the resident.
- River Rescue (Auburn): On Tuesday, May 26th at 5:50 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to reports of a 15-year-old male with his foot trapped under a rock in the river. Firefighters arrived to find the teen in shallow water a short distance from shore. The patient reported he had slipped while fishing and became trapped. A firefighter moved two large rocks to free his foot and safely assist him back to shore. His grandmother was on scene, and his father was responding to the location. Fortunately, the teen was not seriously injured.
- Aid Call (Auburn): On Wednesday, May 27th at 12:30 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to reports of an adult female who had collapsed while walking along the side of the road. Firefighters evaluated the patient on scene and requested King County Medic One paramedics for advanced care. The patient was treated and stabilized before being transported by paramedics to Valley Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.
- Aid Call (Auburn): On Thursday, May 28th at 8:25 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult male experiencing a metabolic medical emergency. Firefighters evaluated the patient on scene before he was transported by private ambulance to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further treatment.
- River Rescue (Green River, Auburn): On Friday, May 29th at 6:08 p.m., VRFA firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics responded to reports of multiple people in the Green River near Dykstra Park struggling to stay afloat and calling for help. Firefighters, working with Auburn Police Department, conducted a search and directed swiftwater rescue technicians from VRFA, Puget Sound Fire, and South King Fire & Rescue downstream to Brannan Park after determining the individuals had floated with the current. Rescue technicians used kayaks to reach the three individuals and safely bring them to shore. One patient was treated for minor injuries and mild hypothermia before being transported by private ambulance to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further care.
- Aid Call (Auburn): On Saturday, May 30th at 10:20 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult male who sustained multiple injuries in a motor vehicle collision. Firefighters found the patient confused and disoriented and conducted a thorough evaluation on scene. The patient was determined to be stable and was transported by firefighters to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further care.
- Aid Call (Auburn): On Sunday, May 31st at 12:04 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to reports of a male child who was believed to be choking and unresponsive. Upon arrival, firefighters determined the child was experiencing a seizure associated with a high fever. Firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics treated the patient on scene before he was transported by private ambulance to a local emergency department, accompanied by his father and cousin.
