VRFA Blotter: Accidents, duplex fire, CPR revival & more

Here are 911 Calls for Service responded to by the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) from Oct. 6–Oct. 12, 2025:

  • Motor Vehicle Accident (Auburn): On Monday, October 6th at 2:42 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a two-vehicle accident. Firefighters evaluated both patients on scene. One patient was transported to a local hospital by private ambulance with minor injuries, while the other elected to be transported by family.
  • Duplex Fire (Pacific): On Tuesday, October 7th at 3:30 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a residential structure fire after multiple callers reported heavy flames. Firefighters arrived to find one side of a duplex and a nearby work van on fire. The family in the affected unit had safely evacuated. Crews quickly deployed hose lines to extinguish the fire and confirmed no injuries. A family of three was displaced, and a VRFA fire investigator is determining the cause.
  • Motor Vehicle Accident (Auburn): On Wednesday, October 8th at 2:22 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 18. Firefighters treated multiple patients on scene, with one patient transported to Harborview Medical Center by King County Medic One.
  • Motor Vehicle Accident (Auburn): On Thursday, October 9th, at 4:45 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a juvenile male who sustained multiple injuries after being struck by a car while riding a non-motorized scooter. Bystanders reported the impact threw the patient several feet into the air before coming to rest in the roadway. Firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics treated the patient on scene before transporting him to Harborview Medical Center for continued care.
  • CPR (Auburn): On Friday, October 10th, at 4:23 p.m., VRFA firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics responded to an adult male in cardiac arrest following a severe asthma attack. Firefighters found the patient unresponsive and pulseless and immediately began lifesaving measures. Firefighters and paramedics successfully revived the patient, who was transported to a local hospital for further treatment.
  • Aid Call (Pacific): On Saturday, October 11th, at 7:10 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult female reporting blood in her urinary catheter for the past week. Firefighters evaluated the patient on scene, and she was transported to Valley Medical Center by private ambulance for further care.
  • Aid Call (Auburn): On Sunday, October 12th, at 5:50 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an elderly female complaining of abdominal pain. Firefighters evaluated the patient on scene, and she was transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center by TriMed for continued care.
