Here are 911 Calls for Service responded to by the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) from Feb. 24–Mar. 2, 2025:
- Aid Call: (Auburn) On Monday, February 24th at 3:34 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult female who was found pulseless and not breathing after suddenly losing consciousness while at home. Firefighters and King County paramedics were able to restore the patient’s pulse after approximately 20 minutes of CPR. The patient was transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for continued care.
- CPR: (Auburn) On Tuesday, February 25th at 4:02 p.m., firefighters and King County Medic One responded to reports of an unresponsive adult male in a vehicle. Firefighters arrived to find bystanders performing CPR and took over life-saving efforts. The patient was stabilized on scene before being transported to a local hospital by paramedics with firefighter assistance for further care.
- Aid Call: (Auburn) On Wednesday, February 26th at 4:07 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to reports of a teenage female with a leg injury from a motor vehicle collision. Firefighters assessed and treated the patient before she was transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center by private ambulance for further care.
- Automatic Fire Alarm: (Auburn) On Thursday, February 27th at 10:17 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a smoke alarm activation at a local elementary school. Firefighters arrived to find the alarm indicating smoke in the kiln room. They discovered the kiln was overheating and shut off power to the unit. Firefighters worked with staff to secure the area and ventilate. Staff remained on-site to monitor the kiln as needed.
- Motor Vehicle Incident: (Pacific) On Friday, February 28th at 11:56 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a report of power lines down. Firefighters arrived to find communication lines down and a utility pole broken, creating a potential hazard for power lines. They controlled traffic and requested police to investigate the incident. Witnesses reported that a semi-truck with a trailer snagged the wires, causing damage. The truck’s occupants briefly exited, assessed the situation, then backed out, further damaging the pole. The scene was turned over to City of Pacific workers and police for further investigation.
- Brush Fire: (Auburn) On Saturday, March 1st at 4:07 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a brush fire along the highway. The crew found a slow-moving grass fire and quickly deployed an attack line to extinguish it. They also used hand tools to create a firebreak around the perimeter.
- Aid Call: (Auburn) On Sunday, March 2nd at 5:12 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult male who injured his right arm while attempting a trick on his scooter. The crew evaluated the patient and provided care before he was transported by private ambulance to Auburn Multicare.
