A person was airlifted to a Seattle-area hospital after being rescued from the water at Flaming Geyser State Park (map below) on Saturday afternoon, July 4, according to responding fire agencies.
Officials said the victim was pulled from approximately 15 feet of water by a paddle boarder before firefighters and paramedics arrived. Emergency crews provided lifesaving treatment at the scene before the patient was transported by helicopter.
The rescue drew a multiagency response from Mountain View Fire & Rescue, Puget Sound Fire, Enumclaw Fire Department, Valley Regional Fire Authority and King County Medic One, according to Mountain View Fire & Rescue.
No additional information about the victim’s condition or the circumstances leading to the rescue was immediately available.
