Here are 911 Calls for Service responded to by the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) from Aug. 26–Sept. 1, 2024:
- Structural Collapse (Enumclaw): On Monday, August 26th, at 2:15 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a structural collapse in Enumclaw. Firefighters were assigned to recon and set up Ladder 331 for an aerial view of the roof. The building was left in the care of city officials, who positioned heavy machinery to stabilize it until demolition could take place.
- CPR: (Auburn) On Tuesday, August 27th, at 12:47 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a nursing home for an unresponsive patient. Upon arrival, firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics stabilized the patient, who was then transported to a local hospital by private ambulance.
- Aid Call: (Auburn) On Wednesday, August 28th, at 4:30 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult female experiencing a diabetic emergency. Upon arrival, they found the woman unconscious and lying on the floor. Firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics treated her on the scene, and she was transported to Auburn Medical Center for further care.
- Vehicle Accident: (Auburn) On Thursday, August 29th, at 6:05 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult male who sustained multiple injuries after a collision with a car while riding his motorcycle. Firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics treated and stabilized the patient on the scene before transporting him to Harborview Medical Center for further treatment.
- Aid Call: (Auburn) On Friday, August 30th, at 2:12 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult male who had tripped and fallen onto the footboard of his bed. Firefighters evaluated the patient for rib and back pain before he was transported by private ambulance to a local hospital.
- Sprinkler Activation: (Auburn) On Saturday, August 31st, at 3:12 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a Sprinkler Water Flow Alarm. Upon arrival, they were met by a resident who had experienced an accidental fire sprinkler activation in his unit. Firefighters shut down the sprinkler system and squeegeed the floors to minimize damage to the apartment and the resident’s belongings. A fire watch was put in place, and the building was turned over to property managers.
- Aid Call: (Auburn) On Sunday, September 1st, at 12:11 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a woman in her 20s with high blood sugar who was vomiting and feeling unwell. Crews stabilized the patient, and she was transported by private ambulance to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further treatment.
