Community members will have a chance to support local nonprofits while enjoying their favorite cup of coffee this weekend, as the Auburn Area Connect Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual “Coffee for a Cause” fundraiser.
The four-day event, which runs across multiple Auburn coffee shops, will raise funds and awareness for three local nonprofits, including the Auburn Food Bank.
Participating coffee stands will donate 50 cents for every drink purchased, with proceeds divided equally among the benefiting organizations.
“This event is a perfect example of how a small, everyday act—like buying a cup of coffee—can have a big impact on our community,” said Debbie Christian, executive director of the Auburn Food Bank. “The generosity of our local businesses and the support from our neighbors means we can continue helping families in need.”
Participants can also take part in an interactive challenge through the Eventzee app, where they can complete trivia and photo challenges at participating locations to earn points and win prizes. The competition is limited to 500 players, and those interested can sign up using event code “COFFEE” in the app.

“Our goal is to be there when people need a hand up, whether it’s food, housing, or simply rebuilding confidence,” Christian said.
