Gardeners and nature enthusiasts are invited to learn how to create pollinator friendly landscapes during a free educational presentation at Soos Creek Botanical Garden later this month.
The program, “How, What, Who, When and Where of Pollination,” will be presented by Master Gardener Susan Melgaard on Wednesday, July 15, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Soos Creek Botanical Garden in Auburn (map below).
According to Soos Creek Botanical Garden, the presentation will explore the importance of pollination in maintaining a strong ecosystem. Using live plant materials, posters, a tri fold display and a PowerPoint presentation, Melgaard will explain what to plant to attract pollinators and how gardeners can provide safe nesting habitat throughout the year.
“Pollination is important for a strong ecosystem,” organizers said. “Using live material props, posters, tri-fold, and a PowerPoint, Sue will tell us what to plant to attract pollinators and how to help them safely nest in our gardens during all seasons.”
This event is free and open to the public.
