Here are 911 Calls for Service responded to by the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) from July 6–12, 2026:
- Brush Fire (Auburn): On Monday, July 6th, VRFA firefighters responded to reports of smoke near the river in south Auburn. Firefighters located a fire that appeared to have spread from a homeless encampment into the surrounding vegetation. Crews spent more than three hours extinguishing hot spots that had spread into large stumps, tree roots, and underbrush. Fortunately, no injuries were reported and no property was damaged.
- Aid Call (Auburn): On Tuesday, July 7th, VRFA firefighters responded to the Auburn Pool for reports of an unconscious adolescent patient. Firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics evaluated the patient on scene before the patient was transported by firefighters to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further care.
- Motor Vehicle Accident (Auburn): On Wednesday, July 8th, VRFA firefighters responded to reports of a vehicle partially down a riverside embankment. Firefighters found the vehicle unstable on three wheels with the driver conscious and alert inside. Crews stabilized the vehicle using rope and additional equipment before safely removing the patient. The patient was evaluated by firefighters on scene and released into police custody.
- Brush Fire (Auburn): On Thursday, July 9th, VRFA firefighters responded to multiple reports of brush fires along SR 167. Additional assistance was requested from Puget Sound Fire and South King Fire as crews worked across several divisions to contain the fires. The fires were brought under control quickly, preventing further spread.
- Aid Call (Auburn): On Friday, July 10th, VRFA firefighters responded to an adult patient experiencing difficulty breathing. Firefighters evaluated and treated the patient on scene. King County Medic One paramedics also evaluated the patient before the patient was transported by private ambulance to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further care.
- Fireworks Injury (Auburn): On Saturday, July 11th, VRFA firefighters responded to reports of an adult patient with a severe hand injury caused by fireworks. Firefighters arrived to find Auburn Police providing bleeding control with a tourniquet. Firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics treated the patient’s injuries on scene before the patient was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center by Airlift Northwest for further care.
- Brush Fire (Kent): On Sunday, July 12th, VRFA firefighters responded to reports of an illegal burn and possible brush fire. Firefighters arrived to find a brush fire approximately 20 feet by 250 feet with active flames at the south end. Crews extinguished the fire and thoroughly overhauled the burned area to ensure it was completely out.
