A South King County family is offering a $10,000 cash reward for the safe return of their stolen dog, a 6-year-old female Boxer named Indy, who disappeared from their Enumclaw property on Sept. 18, 2025.

Owner Dave Morin said Indy was taken from his family’s residence in the countryside above Flaming Geyser Park while they were away for about three hours.

The family believes someone walked onto their gated 8-acre property and took the dog.

“Indy is as sweet of a dog as you could ever have. She would go with anyone that talks nice to her,” Morin said. He noted that Indy’s companion dog, who is less friendly, was not taken.

Indy is brindle colored — brown and black striped — with a very short tail (see photos below).

Since the disappearance, there have been reported sightings near Thomas Jefferson High School in Federal Way, particularly around 55th Ave South and South 288th Street, a corridor that runs past a 76 Gas Station and the school.

Morin said he has posted more than 50 large, laminated posters with Indy’s photo around the area and thanked local garbage collection workers, FedEx drivers, and high school students for helping keep watch.

He believes Indy may be in someone’s care, possibly in a backyard where the family’s posters have not been seen.

“Maybe the people don’t get out much and don’t see my posters,” he said.

Anyone who sees Indy is asked to take a photo and call Morin immediately at 206-793-4470. He stressed that Indy will not bite and encouraged people to try to hold onto her if possible.

The family is offering a $10,000 cash reward, with no questions asked, for Indy’s safe return. Additional photos and information are available here on Craigslist.
