Auburn Valley Humane Society seeks new home for long-term foster dog ‘Bubba’

The Auburn Valley Humane Society (AVHS) is searching for a permanent or foster home for “Bubba,” a 6-year-old dog who has spent more than a year waiting for adoption, the organization announced this week.

Bubba, described by staff as “the definition of joy in motion,” is playful, affectionate and happiest when playing fetch or relaxing with his favorite toy. After spending time in a nurturing foster home where he learned to trust people again, his current foster placement is ending, leaving him in urgent need of a new home.

According to the AVHS, “Bubba” would do best in a calm, adult household with patient adopters familiar with gentle handling.

His adoption fee has been fully sponsored, and he is available now for adoption, fostering or transfer.

“Bubba has come such a long way,” a volunteer said. “He’s learned to trust, to relax, and to enjoy life again. All he needs now is a companion to share that happiness with.”

The nonprofit encourages potential adopters to visit its website at https://www.auburnvalleyhs.org/adopt-a-pet-1 for more information or to schedule a meet-and-greet.
