hamilton county DA LogoA Tennessee man indicted and charged with aggravated kidnapping is suspected of holding his 17-year old daughter in the western US, possibly in the Seattle area. (pdf of truebill)

John Oliver Westbrook kidnapped his daughter, Daphne Westbrook, in October 2019. Daphne disappeared, along with her dogs, Fern and Strawberry, from Chattanooga after failing to return home from a weekend visit with her dad.

Daphne is being held against her will, unable to communicate with the outside world. Our investigation shows she is endangered both physically and mentally.

John Oliver Westbrook is an IT expert specializing in security, block chain technology, and bit coin. He is communicating in a way that’s almost impossible to trace, which makes it extremely difficult for us to generate significant leads in this case.

We’ve recently learned he spent the first few weeks of this year in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Three weeks ago, he moved to the Colorado Springs, Colorado, area. Due to publicity in the Denver media market we believe Westbrook will try to seek shelter with a family member — most likely his sister, Krystalynn Westbrook Martin. We also believe he may have made attempts to alter his appearance and Daphne’s, including using hair dye and false teeth.

Mrs. Martin lives in Auburn, WA, and works at Auburn Adventist Academy. We know Mrs. Martin is in frequent contact with her brother but she refuses to cooperate with our investigation and has repeatedly avoided interview requests by the U.S. Marshals Service.

Daphne is increasingly at serious risk of physical and emotional danger and we need your help to find her.
