A vehicle struck a power pole early Friday morning, April 3 in Auburn, prompting road closures and ongoing traffic disruptions in the Auburn Way North and Harvey Road area (map below), according to the City of Auburn.
Northbound Auburn Way North is closed, and westbound Harvey Road is closed at the Starbucks Coffee Company driveway as crews work to repair the damaged pole.
City officials said repair work is underway, but crews are waiting on a replacement pole, with an estimated repair time of three to four hours.
City crews and signal staff are expected to remain on site into the evening.
The city said its fiber system in the area remains intact and functioning despite the crash.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes while repairs continue.
The city said it will provide updates as work progresses.
