Auburn Police arrest suspect in Sept. 8 drive-by shooting that left man critically injured

A 41-year-old man has been arrested by Auburn Police in connection with a drive-by shooting that critically injured a 22-year-old man in Auburn earlier this month.

The shooting took place at the Colonial Court Apartments on Sept. 8, 2024, at approximately 1:51 a.m.

The victim, who was rushed to Harborview Medical Center, is expected to recover from his injuries.

Auburn Police located the vehicle involved in the shooting later that same day and subsequently executed a search warrant.

Following a week-long investigation, authorities arrested the suspect on Sept. 17. He is currently being held in King County Jail, with bail set at $750,000.

“A big thanks to all the officers involved for their hard work and dedication,” police said.
