Woman shot, killed after altercation at Auburn gas station early Wednesday

A woman in her 30s was shot and killed after an altercation at an Auburn gas station early Wednesday morning, Nov. 29, 2023, according to Auburn Police.

Police said that at around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, officers responded to a report of a shooting near the 500 Block of 15th Street NE (map below).

When police arrived on scene, they quickly realized the victim who had been shot was a passenger in a Ford truck.

The victim, a woman in her 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene after life-saving measures were taken.

After investigation, police soon learned that an altercation occurred at a gas station on Harvey Road after the suspect approached the passenger side of the vehicle.

The victim vehicle drove off and ended up on 15th Street NE after shots were fired.

As of Wednesday morning, Auburn PD said it does not have any suspects in custody, but they are reviewing camera footage from the area.
