VRFA Blotter: gunshot wound, vehicle vs pedestrian & more

Here are 911 Calls for Service responded to by the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) from Nov. 20–26, 2023:

SWFA: (Auburn) On Monday, November 20th at 8:10 a.m., firefighters responded to a report of a sprinkler water flow alarm (SWFA). Firefighters arrived on scene and were notified by the on-site manager that the system was having its annual maintenance conducted by a technician and there were no issues.

CPR/Mutual Aid: (Muckleshoot Reservation) On Tuesday, November 21st at 6:57 p.m. firefighters responded with Mountain View Fire & Rescue for reports of an overdose. On scene, VRFA, MVFR and King County Paramedics found two unconscious adult males who had overdosed. The patients were stabilized in the field, and one was transported to a local hospital by King County Medic One.

Aid Call: (Auburn) On Tuesday, November 21st at 1:09 p.m., firefighters responded to an adult male with a reported head injury. Crews arrived to assist the male who was unsure how he received the injury, was incoherent and felt dizzy. The patient was provided care and transported to a local area hospital by private ambulance.

Smoke Investigation: (Auburn) On Wednesday, November 22nd at 4:14 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of heavy smoke near a barn. Firefighters arrived to find a person attending a small campfire contained to a fire pit. Firefighters allowed the person to continue burning after making sure all safety concerns were addressed.

Carbon Monoxide Alarm: (Lakeland Hills) On Thursday, November 23 at 7:07 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of a residential carbon monoxide alarm. Firefighters investigated the residence and found that there was no carbon monoxide problem. They determined the CO alarm had malfunctioned and recommended replacement.

Gunshot Wound: (Pacific) On Friday, November 24th at 3:56 p.m., firefighters with King County Medics and Pacific Police responded to an adult male with a gunshot wound. The patient was treated on-scene and transported by Airlift to Harborview Medical Center.

Vehicle vs Pedestrian: (Auburn) On Saturday, November 25th at 3:05 p.m., firefighters responded to reports of a vehicle vs pedestrian injury accident. Upon arrival firefighters found an adult male still on the ground with a possible head injury. The patient was evaluated on scene by VRFA firefighters and King County Medic One Paramedics and immobilized for spinal stabilization. The patient was transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center by firefighters for further evaluation.

Auto Accident: (Auburn) On Sunday November 26 at 5:00 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to a minor 2-vehicle accident with airbag deployment. All involved parties declined aid.
