The City of Auburn is inviting neighborhoods to register for National Night Out 2026 on Tuesday, Aug. 4, when communities across the city will host block parties, cookouts, youth activities and other gatherings aimed at strengthening neighborhood connections and promoting public safety.
City officials said registration is now open for neighborhoods interested in hosting events.
Neighborhoods that register by Friday, July 6, will receive free promotional materials including postcards, flyers, posters, shirts and an event banner.
According to the city, registered neighborhoods may also request a visit from a City of Auburn representative, including city staff, officials and police personnel.
“National Night Out is a great way to meet your neighbors and feel more connected to your community,” the city said in its announcement.
National Night Out is held annually on the first Tuesday in August and is part of a nationwide effort aimed at building community relationships and supporting public safety initiatives.
