Auburn woman found murdered on Valentine’s Day, ex-boyfriend arrested

Auburn Police are reporting that on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024 at 2:24 p.m., Officers were dispatched to the 3700 Block of West Valley Highway N. (map below), where they discovered that a woman had been shot and killed.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a woman lying motionless in the bushes with a bullet casing next to her.

Officers quickly determined that the female victim (34-years-old) died from a gunshot wound to the upper body.

Detectives were notified and continued the investigation, interviewing multiple people, and finding multiple sources of surveillance footage.

On Feb. 15, 2024 evidence pointed towards the suspect being the victim’s ex-boyfriend, Calvin Jackson, 32.

During an interview with the suspect, he admitted to shooting the victim in her vehicle multiple times.

Just 26 hours after the victim was found, Jackson was taken into custody and booked into King County Jail. He was charged with Domestic Violence Murder in the First Degree and set with a bail amount of $5,000,000.
