Prior to teaching at ASD, Agnew was a paraeducator in the Enumclaw School District for three years.

“Mrs. Agnew is a dedicated teacher who strives to create positive educational experiences. Students are simply lucky to be in her class,” Colleague Kevin Olson said.

Agnew loves the relationships she builds with both students and staff. She loves watching the kids evolve and gain confidence during the school year. She appreciates the close-knit, dedicated Cascade staff and said everyone is supportive of each other.

Agnew earned her bachelor’s in elementary education from Central Washington University with minors in science and math while working as a paraeducator. She is working on her master’s degree in educational technology through Western Governor’s University and will complete August, 2022.

Corrie and her husband of 28 years, Paul, have three grown daughters and three dogs. When not at work, they spend their free time working on home improvement projects. They travel on almost every school break to places with sandy beaches and sunshine, with West Palm Beach and Cabo San Lucas being some of Agnew’s favorite places.

Jaylian Charfauros

January Outstanding Student Member of the Month

Charfauros is a great role model to her peers in the classroom and in the school community. While this is her first year at Terminal Park, she has already become a leader. Her effort towards her work, both academically and socially, is exceptional.

Stolee is in the STEP program where he continues to excel with challenging and rigorous classwork. He gives his best effort across all lessons, activities, and subjects. He shows great pride in his education and is exceedingly thoughtful in his work.

His greatest academic strength is mathematical skills. He’s able to understand and apply new concepts quickly with very little difficulty. He constantly seeks new knowledge and uses his free time practicing his math skills or attempting middle school math curriculum. His constant desire to learn is inspiring.

In addition to excellent academics, he is extraordinarily considerate and thoughtful. He follows classroom expectations and respectfully reminds his classmates to do the same. He is a kind-hearted young man that holds himself to a high standard of behavioral excellence. His quiet yet steady demeanor allows him to be a natural leader in the classroom.

Congratulations Corrie, Jaylian, and Malachi!
