15-year-old shot in face, 16-year-old in leg in Auburn early Saturday

Auburn Police responded to a shooting early Saturday morning, June 29, 2024 at 2:36 a.m., following reports of gunfire.

Upon investigation, officers discovered that a group of four individuals had been targeted by at least one suspect.

Two of the four victims, a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old, were struck by gunfire. The 15-year-old was shot in the face and transported to Harborview Medical Center, while the 16-year-old, who was shot in the leg, was taken to a local hospital. Both victims are reported to be in stable condition and recovering.

Police have obtained video and photos from the scene in the 2100 block of F Street SE (map below) and are actively following up on leads.

The possibility of the shooting being gang-related is under investigation but has not been confirmed.
