Here are 911 Calls for Service responded to by the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) from Oct. 13–Oct. 19, 2025:
- Smoke Investigation (Lea Hill): On Monday, October 13th, 2025 at 1:15 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to reports of smoke in the library at Green River College. After a thorough investigation with assistance from the maintenance crew, it was determined that a small dust fire had occurred within the HVAC system. Firefighters assisted maintenance staff in resetting the alarm system and confirmed there was no further hazard.
- Restaurant Fire (Auburn): On Tuesday, October 14th at 2:40 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to reports of a fire in a pressure cooker at a local restaurant. Upon arrival, there was no smoke, flames, or alarms sounding. A quick-thinking employee had extinguished the fire shortly after it began using a dry chemical extinguisher. All units confirmed the area was safe and returned in service.
- Aid Call (Auburn): On Wednesday, October 15th at 8:11 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to reports of an adult female slumped over her steering wheel in the middle lane of traffic. Firefighters evaluated the patient who was experiencing a significant medical emergency. The patient was treated on scene by firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics, then transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center by King County Medic One.
- Aid Call (Lakeland Hills): On Thursday, October 16th at 5:50 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult female complaining of shortness of breath. Firefighters, along with King County Medic One paramedics, evaluated and treated the patient on scene before she was transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further care.
- Car vs. Bicycle (Auburn): On Friday, October 17th at 3:30 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to reports of an elderly male who had been struck by a car while riding his bicycle. Firefighters evaluated and stabilized the patient on scene, with assistance from King County Medic One paramedics. The patient was then transported to a local hospital by a VRFA aid unit for further care.
- Welfare Check (Auburn): On Saturday, October 18th at 9:11 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to reports of an unconscious male slumped over the steering wheel of his vehicle. Firefighters, along with Auburn Police, initiated contact with the patient, who regained consciousness and requested evaluation for burns on his foot. The patient was treated on scene and transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center by private ambulance for further care.
- Motor Vehicle Accident (Auburn): On Sunday, October 19th at 9:20 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a two-vehicle accident on a local freeway. One driver lost control while merging and struck another vehicle. Both adult drivers sustained minor injuries. One patient was transported to a local hospital by private ambulance, and the other was taken by a family member in a private vehicle.
