VRFA Blotter: Head injury, Pacific Raceways fire, shed fire, grocery store altercation & more

Here are 911 Calls for Service responded to by the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) from Feb. 1–Feb. 8, 2026:

  • Aid Call (Auburn): On Sunday, February 1st at 6:56 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an elderly female experiencing blood in her urine, possible urinary tract infection symptoms, and weakness over several days. Firefighters provided care on scene before she was transported by private ambulance to a local hospital for further evaluation.
  • Aid Call (Auburn): On Monday, February 2nd at 2:00 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult male found unresponsive. Firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics treated the patient on scene before he was transported by private ambulance to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further care.
  • Aid Call (Auburn): On Tuesday, February 3rd at 10:00 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult male who sustained a head injury and was experiencing confusion after a fall. Firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics evaluated the patient on scene before he was transported by paramedics to a local hospital for further care.
  • Commercial Fire (Kent): On Wednesday, February 4th at 11:00 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a commercial fire at Pacific Raceways in Kent. Crews arrived to find black smoke coming from one bay of a large concrete building. Firefighters, working with assisting agencies, extinguished the fire and confirmed no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
  • Aid Call (Auburn): On Thursday, February 5th, VRFA firefighters responded to an adult female reporting high blood pressure and anxiety after recreational drug use. Firefighters evaluated the patient and determined a home blood pressure cuff was malfunctioning, with her vital signs found to be within normal limits. Crews contacted the patient’s son, who came to remain with her while she recovered at home.
  • Aid Call (Auburn): On Friday, February 6th at 4:16 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult female who sustained multiple injuries during an altercation inside a grocery store. Firefighters evaluated and treated the patient on scene. Her father arrived and transported her to a local emergency department for further evaluation.
  • Shed Fire (Auburn): On Saturday, February 7th at 1:26 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a shed fire on a vacant lot. Crews arrived to find the structure fully involved, with no threat to nearby homes or exposures. Firefighters extinguished the fire and overhauled the remaining debris to ensure it was fully out.
  • Motor Vehicle Accident (Auburn): On Saturday, February 7th, 2026, VRFA firefighters responded to a single-vehicle collision along Peasley Canyon after a vehicle lost control on the soft shoulder and rolled down an embankment into a creek. Firefighters confirmed there was one occupant and assisted the individual from the creek for further evaluation. The patient was transported by firefighters to a local hospital for additional care.
  • Tree Blocking Road (Auburn): On Sunday, February 8th at 12:45 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to reports of a tree blocking a residential roadway. Crews arrived to find a tree resting on a guardrail and suspended over a wire across the road. Firefighters secured the area with scene tape and notified the City through dispatch for removal.
