Valley Regional Fire Authority, Puget Sound Fire, Mountain View Fire & Rescue are all on scene of a 3-alarm brush fire Thursday morning, July 25, 2024 on Green River Road, south of the South 277th Street bridge (map below).
“Access to the fire is difficult due to the steep terrain and wooded area,” Puget Sound Fire said.
Firefighters are using progressive hose lays to get water to the fire.
Green River Road between the 27400 block and Auburn Golf Course was closed due to the blaze.
Officials advised drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes, and check http://kingcounty.gov/MyCommute for updates.
