Here are 911 Calls for Service responded to by the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) from Jan. 6–Jan. 12, 2024:
- Aid Call: (Lakeland Hills) On Monday, January 6th at 10:05 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an elderly female experiencing a decreased level of consciousness. The patient was evaluated and transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further treatment.
- Aid Call: (Auburn) On Wednesday, January 8th at 5:54 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult female experiencing a rapid heart rate. The patient was evaluated on scene and transported to a local hospital by private ambulance.
- Aid Call: (Auburn) On Wednesday, January 8th at 6:59 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult male experiencing stroke-like symptoms. Due to the patient’s worsening condition, King County Medic One was requested. Paramedics and firefighters treated the patient before he was transported to Harborview Medical Center for further care.
- Commercial Vehicle Fire: (Auburn) On Thursday, January 9th at 10:05 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a semi-truck fire. Crews arrived to find a small fire, which they quickly extinguished. After confirming the truck operator did not require further assistance, the scene was turned over to the operator.
- Shooting: (Auburn) On Friday, January 10th, 2025, at 6:52 p.m., VRFA firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics responded to a self-inflicted gunshot injury. On scene, firefighters and paramedics stabilized the patient, who was transported to Harborview Medical Center by King County Medic One with VRFA firefighters assisting in patient care.
- Aid Call: (Auburn) On Saturday, January 11th at 8:00 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult female experiencing chest pain and respiratory distress. Firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics evaluated the patient, who was transported to a local emergency room for further treatment.
- Overdose: (Auburn) On Sunday, January 12th at 12:41 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a report of CPR in progress. Upon arrival, they identified an apparent overdose and successfully revived the patient using Narcan. The patient was transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center by private ambulance.
