Here are 911 Calls for Service responded to by the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) from Sept. 22–Sept. 28, 2025:
- Aid Call (Auburn): On Monday, September 22nd at 6:59 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult male experiencing shortness of breath following a recent illness and fall. Firefighters treated the patient on scene before he was transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center by private ambulance for further treatment.
- Bridge Strike (Pacific): On Tuesday, September 23rd at 11:19 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a commercial roll-off truck that hit the underside of Highway 167 at 3rd Avenue NW. The raised hoist struck the bridge, stopping the truck abruptly and causing concrete debris to fall. Firefighters treated the driver on scene and transported him to a local hospital. Washington State Patrol and the Department of Transportation inspected the damage, and two northbound lanes remained closed while engineers assessed the bridge’s safety.
- Vehicle Fire (Lakeland Hills): On Wednesday, September 24th at 6:46 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a report of a passenger vehicle on fire in the parking lot of an apartment complex. Firefighters arrived to find a minivan with the hood up and smoke coming from the engine compartment. The occupant reported that oil had leaked onto a hot engine, causing smoke but no active fire. Firefighters confirmed there was no fire and ensured the area was safe before clearing the scene.
- Aid Call (Auburn): On Thursday, September 25th at 3:29 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult male injured in an industrial accident. The patient had been struck by a large steel beam and sustained multiple traumatic injuries. He was treated on scene by VRFA firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics before being transported to Harborview Medical Center for further care.
- Aid Call (Auburn): On Friday, September 26th at 7:23 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult male who had fallen from his wheelchair and suffered a head injury. The patient was treated on scene and transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center by private ambulance for further care.
- Childbirth (Auburn): On Saturday, September 27th at 8:38 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult female in active labor with contractions one minute apart after her water had broken. The patient was transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center by King County Medic One paramedics, and a baby boy was delivered in the medic unit upon arrival at the hospital.
- Motorcycle Accident (Auburn): On Sunday, September 28th at 7:59 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded with Mountainview Fire & Rescue and King County Medic One to an adult male injured after his motorcycle crashed into a fence. Firefighters treated the patient, who sustained serious injuries, before he was transported to Harborview Medical Center by King County Medic One.
