Auburn’s See Ya Later Foundation was named the 2024 Nonprofit Chamber Champion by the Puyallup-Sumner Chamber of Commerce at their annual Chamber Champion Awards celebration last week.
This esteemed award recognizes a nonprofit whose unwavering dedication and impactful initiatives have made a significant difference in the community through fundraising, outreach, and support programs.
The See Ya Later Foundation was nominated alongside an incredible group of organizations, including the Skoolie Foundation, Care Net of Puget Sound, the Sumner Community Food Bank, St. Francis House, and Arts Downtown.
“We are truly honored to be recognized among such inspiring organizations,” said Brian Williams, Director of Operations. “While we wish there were no need for our work, as long as cancer and other life-threatening conditions affect children in our communities, we will continue to stand by their side, offering support, hope and resources.”
See Ya Later Foundation’s mission is being fulfilled in a powerful way. Last year, the foundation achieved record-breaking fundraising milestones, including $53,000 raised at their annual golf tournament and an incredible $103,000 at their annual auction. These funds supported the foundation’s Seeds of Hope program, directly impacting 21 families and over 100 children through various donations, toy drives, and youth sponsorships.
The foundation also awarded eight outstanding high school students the $2,500 Scott Banke Memorial Scholarship, recognizing their dedication to making a difference in the community. Additionally, a dedicated team of 63 volunteers stepped up to serve—whether assisting at events, serving on the board or a committee, or representing the foundation as brand ambassadors.
