How long have you been in the Miss Auburn, Miss Auburn’s Outstanding Teen Program?
This is my second year a part of the Miss Auburn Program.
Why did you choose to compete?
I chose to compete this year because I want to be more involved with the Auburn community. This community is so tight-knit that I want to be involved in serving alongside other community members.
What are you most excited about in the competition?
The private interview is what I look forward to the most. This is where I’m able to express my goals and aspirations to the judges so they get a better understanding of who I am as an individual.
What are you most nervous about in the competition?
Wearing heals the entire pageant night!
What is your talent, and why did you choose it?
I am so excited to perform my talent this year which I’ll be singing “You Say” by Lauren Daigle. This song reminds me that no matter what happens in life God puts you through it for a reason. Every opportunity is a learning experience!
What is your platform?
My social impact initiative is, Bringing People Out of the Darkness; Suicide Prevention.
Why is your platform important to you?
This platform is important to me because I battled with depression as a sophomore in high school. I want to break the stigma of suicide and shine a light for those who are in the dark.
What does representing Auburn as Miss Auburn/Miss Auburn’s Outstanding Teen mean to you?
Becoming the next Miss Auburn would mean serving alongside a strong, loving community. It would mean the world to me to be given the opportunity to bring attention to suicide awareness to help save lives in the City of Auburn.
