A garbage fire in a truck prompted a swift response from Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) crews Wednesday at the intersection of 118th Ave SE and SE 296th Place on Lea Hill in Auburn.

The fire began inside a garbage truck, prompting the driver to dump the burning contents onto the roadway to prevent the flames from spreading to the vehicle.
