Fire displaces 5 residents after shed blaze spreads to mobile homes in Auburn

A late-night fire that started in a detached shed spread to two mobile homes in Auburn late Thursday night, displacing five residents, fire officials said.

Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) crews responded to the 3200 block of M Street SE (map below) just after 11:30 p.m. Thursday night, finding the shed fully engulfed in flames.

The fire had already spread to two nearby mobile homes by the time firefighters arrived.

No injuries were reported, but five residents were displaced, VRFA said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Authorities have not yet released an estimate of the damage.
