Auburn’s Airport Appreciation Day returns to the City of Auburn Municipal Airport Saturday, July 12, 2025 for a day packed full of festivities and food for the entire family to enjoy.
“It’s just a really fun day to be out at the airport,” said airport manager Tim Mensonides. “The weather looks to be on our side as we welcome hundreds in our community to this fantastic and free annual event.”
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the airport located at 2143E St. NE in Auburn (map below) will feature food trucks, vendor tents, static aircraft displays, a bouncy house, Auburn Park’s Rec n Roll van, face-painting, balloon-shaping and a photo booth, to name a few. As always, the event is FREE to attend.
Free airplane rides are also scheduled for pre-registered children ages 8 to 17, provide by local pilots through the EAA Young Eagles Program. Due to high demand, registration is closed for 2025, but the Young Eagles program runs year-round throughout the state.
Additional activities will include helicopter rides offered for a reduced price from Classic Helicopters, Auburn Fire & Police/SWAT Departments on site with their respective vehicles, and both the Army and Air Force will attend bringing vehicles and aircraft for display, including larger-than-life helicopters.
