Auburn Police arrest Tukwila man wanted on child rape charge Thursday

The Auburn Police Department Special Investigations Unit arrested a suspect wanted on a charge of rape of a child in the first degree following a multi-agency investigation, police said.

Savarr Austin was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025 in Tukwila on an outstanding warrant related to the case.

Bail was set at $350,000, according to Auburn P.D.

Police said the arrest followed extensive investigative work and coordination among several law enforcement agencies. Assisting units included the Auburn Police Special Investigations Unit, Auburn General Investigations Unit, Kent Special Investigations Unit and Valley SWAT.

Austin was taken into custody without incident and booked into the King County Jail, police said.

The Auburn Police Department credited the coordinated efforts of the participating agencies for the successful arrest.
