Here are 911 Calls for Service responded to by the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) from Sept. 23–Sept. 29, 2024:
- Aid Call: (Pacific) On Monday, September 23rd at 4:52 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult family home for a male experiencing confusion. Caregivers reported the patient was slower to respond than normal. Firefighters evaluated the patient on scene, and he was transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center by private ambulance for further care.
- Motor Vehicle Accident: (Lea Hill) On Tuesday, September 24th at 5:58 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a vehicle accident involving two vehicles. Both patients sustained minor injuries; one was transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center by a VRFA Aid Car, while the other was transported by private ambulance.
- Wires Down: (Auburn) On Wednesday, September 25th at 6:33 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a report of a brush fire with trees leaning on the power lines. Crews arrived and found tree branches had broken the power lines, and the power lines on the ground were still live and arcing, causing multiple small fires along the side of the road. Engine crews waited until Puget Sound Energy arrived and shut off power to the lines, then proceeded to extinguish the fires.
- Motor Vehicle Accident: (Auburn) On Thursday, September 26th at 4:04 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident on southbound SR 167 near 15th St SW. Crews arrived to find two heavily damaged vehicles. Firefighters extricated one individual and treated three patients in total. All patients were transported to Harborview Medical Center for further medical care.
- Aid Call: (Auburn) On Friday, September 27th at 8:22 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult male experiencing general weakness and slurred speech. Firefighters treated the patient on scene, and he was transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center by private ambulance.
- Aid Call: (Auburn) On Saturday, September 28th at 10:50 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult male with significant swelling in his bicep following a fistula placement surgery a few days earlier. Firefighters evaluated the patient, ensured the area was properly bandaged, and prepared him for transport by private ambulance to a local hospital.
- Aid Call: (Auburn) On Sunday, September 29th at 12:20 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to Pacific Raceways for a male child who sustained multiple injuries from a motorcycle accident. The boy had been racing in a motocross event when he flipped off his bike. Firefighters and King County paramedics treated him on the scene, and he was transported to Mary Bridge Hospital by ambulance for further care.
