VRFA Blotter: Aid calls, brush fire, multiple unconscious subjects, collision & more

Here are 911 Calls for Service responded to by the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) from Aug. 11–Aug. 17, 2025:

  • Aid Call: (Auburn) On Monday, August 11th, at 8:51 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult male in respiratory distress. King County Medic One was dispatched, and VRFA firefighters assisted paramedics with securing the patient’s airway and moving him safely. The patient received additional treatment from paramedics and was transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further care.
  • Aid Call: (Auburn) On Tuesday, August 12th at 4:13 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an elderly male who suffered a concussion after falling on a slip and slide. Firefighters assessed the patient and transported him to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further treatment.
  • Minor Fire: (Auburn) On Wednesday, August 13th at 1:22 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a battery-powered quad that caught fire while charging. Upon arrival, firefighters found that the homeowner had already extinguished the fire using a fire extinguisher.
  • Brush Fire: (Auburn) On Thursday, August 14th at 8:18 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a brush fire in a wooded area near the White River. Upon arrival, firefighters found a 15’x15′ fire and quickly deployed a hoseline to extinguish it. After suppressing the flames, firefighters remained on scene to dig out hot spots and ensure the fire was fully extinguished.
  • Aid Call: (Auburn) On Friday, August 15th at 11:52 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a 5-year-old boy who had fallen from the monkey bars. Firefighters evaluated the patient, and he was transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center by private ambulance.
  • Multiple Unconscious Subjects: (Auburn) On Saturday, August 16th at 7:40 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to reports of a possible unconscious person. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered two unconscious adult males, suspected to be affected by substance use. VRFA firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics treated the patients on scene before they were transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further care.
  • Motor Vehicle Collision: (Auburn) On Sunday, August 17th at 4:00 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a two-vehicle collision with minor injuries. Upon arrival, firefighters found one patient complaining of head pain. The patient was treated on scene and transported by private ambulance to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further care.
