Auburn Police arrested six juveniles on Monday afternoon, May 26, 2025, following a robbery and attempted vehicle prowl in the Lea Hill neighborhood.
According to police, officers were first dispatched around 2:20 p.m. to an apartment complex in the 31900 block of 124th Ave SE after a caller reported 6–7 juveniles in ski masks attempting to break into her parked vehicle. The suspects fled when the car alarm was triggered.
While officers were investigating that report, a nearby sergeant witnessed three juveniles assaulting a man at a bus stop near SE 320th Street and 124th Ave SE. The suspects allegedly stole the man’s belongings before boarding a parked Metro bus.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and police recovered all stolen property.
Auburn officers conducted a high-risk stop of the Metro bus and took six juveniles into custody (see video below). Three male suspects were booked for investigation of first-degree robbery. Three female juveniles believed to be involved in the earlier vehicle prowl were detained; one was booked on an unrelated felony warrant, while the others were released to a parent.
All six were transported to the King County Juvenile Detention Center. Police said several of the suspects had prior criminal histories, and charges are pending.
“This incident highlights the coordinated efforts of Auburn Police officers in quickly responding to and resolving criminal activity,” the department said in a statement. “A job well done by all involved.”
