Auburn Police officers, with the help of K9 Apollo, arrested a suspect last week after tracking down a stolen vehicle, the department reported.
Police said the vehicle’s owner was able to track its location, allowing patrol officers to quickly coordinate a response. When officers arrived, a woman fled from the car on foot.
Officers surrounded the area, made multiple announcements, and deployed K9 Apollo, who successfully located and apprehended the suspect.
Police said the keys to the stolen vehicle were found in her pocket.
“Outstanding work by our officers and K9 team for safely bringing this situation to a close!” police said in a statement.
