Supporters of King County Prop 1 will gather at the Poo Poo Point trailhead to celebrate Washington Trails Day and remind King County voters to vote yes on King County Prop 1. The Parks for All GOTV Rally will take place tomorrow, Saturday, August 3rd at 9:30 A.M.
King County Prop 1, on the August 6th Primary ballot, will renew and replace the current expiring levy so we can continue to protect and preserve the forests, parks, and places that help our communities, kids, and climate. King County’s 200 parks, 175 miles of regional trails, and 28,000 acres of open space are essential to our quality of life in the region. They provide active recreation, protect habitat and clean water, and provide opportunities to connect with the people, places, and landscapes that make this such a great place to live, work, and play.
August 3rd is also Washington Trails Day! This statewide holiday is in recognition of the importance of our public lands across Washington State.
