Crews with the Valley Regional Fire Authority responded Tuesday afternoon, June 10, 2025 to a garage fire in the 800 block of 45th Street NE in Auburn (map below), where flames damaged four garage units and scorched the siding of a nearby apartment building.
First responders arrived to find heavy fire coming from a detached garage structure.
Firefighters quickly knocked down the visible flames and continued working to extinguish hot spots and check for any fire extension into adjacent areas.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
In a statement, fire officials praised the crews for preventing the blaze from spreading further.
“Crews did a great job containing the fire from spreading to neighboring properties and from spreading into the apartment building,” VRFA said. “A huge thank you to our partners at Puget Sound Fire, South King Fire & Rescue, and King County Medic One for their assistance.”
