Police said that fireworks that “go up or blow up” are illegal within the city.

Police also reminded residents that fireworks that are legal in Auburn may only be discharged between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m. on the 4th of July.

The department encouraged residents to celebrate responsibly, be considerate of their neighbors and enjoy a safe holiday.
