The Auburn Police Department arrested two men and seized large quantities of narcotics and firearms following a months long investigation led by the department’s Special Investigations Unit, police announced.
The arrests occurred Nov. 12 in Graham, where officers took both suspects into custody outside one of their storage units.
According to police, investigators recovered approximately 176 ounces of methamphetamine, equal to 11 pounds, along with 3 ounces of fentanyl powder.
Officers also seized 14 firearms, including a stolen AR 15 rifle.
The operation was carried out with support from Valley SWAT as well as Auburn’s General Investigations Division, Community Response Team and additional assisting agencies.
The department said the coordinated effort reflects the professionalism and dedication of all personnel involved and emphasized that the arrests remove dangerous drugs and weapons from the community.
“A job well done by everyone involved,” police added.
