Scams targeting seniors have surged nationally, from phishing texts and fake shipping notices to financial fraud and even AI voice impersonation. Sidhu says scam prevention sessions have quickly become one of their most requested services.

“We teach seniors what the red flags look like,” she explained. “Fake links, suspicious emails, unexpected pop ups, strange phone calls. Once seniors know what to look for, you can see the relief on their faces.”

Your Senior Tech offers popular community presentations including Spot the Scam, All About AI, Staying Safe Online, and The Password Upgrade, along with step by step handouts seniors can take home.

Powered by an intergenerational approach

A hallmark of Your Senior Tech’s model is its team of trained high school and college students who assist seniors much like they would help their own grandparents. This intergenerational design creates a comfortable, judgment free learning environment that seniors appreciate.

“It changes everything when the help comes from someone patient and friendly,” Sidhu said. “Many seniors just want someone who won’t rush them or make them feel embarrassed for asking questions.”
