A motorcyclist was arrested overnight after attempting to evade Washington State Patrol (WSP) troopers on SR 167 near Auburn, according to a post by Trooper Rick Johnson.
Troopers responded after spotting the motorcycle attempting to elude a traffic stop.
A WSP aircraft supported the ground pursuit and tracked the rider throughout.
After abandoning the motorcycle on the road, the rider attempted to flee on foot before being taken into custody. The motorcycle was subsequently impounded.
No injuries were reported during the incident, and Troopers booked the suspect on a charge of felony eluding.
In an X (formerly Twitter) statement, Johnson described the sequence:
Tonight a motorcyclist fled from troopers on 167 in Auburn, bad move. Smokey was overhead the entire time watching. The rider ditched the bike and tried hiding between cars, then ran on foot, with troopers on his tail. He was arrested for Felony Eluding and the bike was impounded pic.twitter.com/bStBdk0Xru
